Challenge

Mundo Games, a platform focused on tournaments and experiences for gamers, needed to thoroughly understand its target audience to support strategic design and product decisions.


The main challenge was to develop a solid knowledge base without having its own users to interview, using and adapting existing research relevant to the local context (Chile).

  1. Internal interviews with stakeholders to identify product needs and business priorities.

  2. Desk research: search and analysis of previous studies in Chile on gamers' habits, motivations, and behaviors.

  3. Extraction, organization, and categorization of insights most relevant to the product context.

  4. Creation of a visual report with key findings, preliminary user profiles (proto-personas), and strategic proposals for design.
